"none of the above"

There's a MTBI (well, Temperament Sorter, I think) that allows you to say "I'm really in between" as an answer. Taking it, I come out as ISFJ, but the numbers are:

Introverted (I) 75% Extraverted (E) 25%
Sensing (S) 55% Intuitive (N) 45%
Feeling (F) 55% Thinking (T) 45%
Judging (J) 59% Perceiving (P) 41%

So perhaps IXXJ, or even IXXX.

In the past I've come out INXP most often, and I think this new result is a combination of a little bit of my having changed and a lot of being able to not choose when neither choice fits or both do.

Your personality type is ENFP.

Extraverted (E) 50% Introverted (I) 50%
Intuitive (N) 77% Sensing (S) 23%
Feeling (F) 55% Thinking (T) 45%
Perceiving (P) 64% Judging (J) 36%

So really XNXP which is weird because I think I came up INTJ the last time I did one of these, the I and the T were weak that time too so the first 3 match but the J to P seems like a real change.

silly me

here I was thinking the list of possible results would be something like

  • Pythagorean
  • Meantone
  • Werckmeister III (*)
  • Velotti/Young
  • Equal
(*) this is the one Bach was showing off in "The Well-Tempered Clavier"; the folks who told you that well-temperament == equal temperament are just misinformed.

ENTJ

Extraverted (E) 93% Introverted (I) 7%
Intuitive (N) 77% Sensing (S) 23%
Thinking (T) 55% Feeling (F) 45%
Judging (J) 77% Perceiving (P) 23%

Always strong E (I mean, really!) and strong N for me. Eric is exact opposite - very strong I & strong S (he's ISTJ) so it's a constant issue for us. Usually I'm very strong T, and on the border for J/P. When I was at Microsoft, I scored "P" usually, but I think it was because I was surrounded by too much J, which happens with Myers Briggs. As now - I think I'm pretty firmly a T personality wise, but being a mommy makes me a little more on the "F" side as I think of Violet when I answered some of those questions about my behavior around feelings. It's interesting how it changes over time, or in given set of circumstances.
